Flush and semi-flush mounts bring the crystal and alabaster of a chandelier to rooms with standard ceilings: bedrooms, hallways, dressing rooms and lower living spaces. Semi-flush pieces hang a few inches below the ceiling for a little more presence; flush mounts sit tight against it.
Flush or semi-flush?
Under 8 ft, flush. At 8 to 9 ft, semi-flush gives the piece some air without risking head room. Over 9 ft, consider a short chandelier instead.
Can a flush mount be dimmed?
Yes. Candelabra fixtures dim with any compatible dimmable lamp; integrated LED pieces are supplied with a dimmable driver.
