Terms of Sale

The terms on which quotes are given and orders are accepted.

Quotes

Quotes are prepared for the piece, size, finish and destination requested and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Prices exclude taxes and duties payable in the destination country unless the quote states they are included.

Orders

An order is confirmed when we have received your written acceptance of the quote and specification drawing, and the deposit stated in the quote. The balance is due before shipment. Specifications are final once production begins.

Made to order

Dimensions, weights and colours shown on this site are the standard specification and are indicative; your piece is built to the dimensions on the confirmed drawing. Natural materials (crystal, alabaster, stone, hand-blown glass) vary from piece to piece; such variation is a characteristic of the work and not a defect.

Delivery, risk and installation

Delivery terms are stated on the quote. Risk passes on delivery to your address. Installation is your responsibility and should be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with the mounting note supplied; we are not liable for damage arising from improper installation.

Warranty

Each fixture carries a five-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery, limited to repair or replacement at our option. It excludes lamps, damage from misuse, improper installation or cleaning, and normal patina of unlacquered finishes.

Intellectual property

Designs, drawings, photographs and text on this site and in our quotations are the property of Maison Lumière Paris and may not be reproduced without permission.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, United States.
